We love FunkyTown and Karina is using it for her 3rd grade project in her Saint Paul French Immersion School: for the topic: African American Singer. Your voice is timeless!
Karina is singing this one song all day (love the Colbert Report Fish singing it).
I mised Nika on the ski slopes of Afton Thursdays.

Hello Cynthia-
It has been over 20 years since we met, but I am so grateful that Mambo's Combo existed. In 1989, I was finishing Law School and Wednesdays at the Fine Line...I think Mondays at Bunker's and Fridays or Saturdays at Grand Central were my escape from studying. Currently, I am in Detroit and pursuing my love for wine.
I just wanted you to know that you made me loath recorded music in clubs. Detroit has few live music venues. You are a true professional because I remember a night you were struggling with bronchitis and you blew Melanie and Margaret off the stage.
Love you and hope to here from you. When my winery is open, I would love for you to come to Detroit so I can show people what live music can give.
Hi Cynthia,
I met you many years ago. I heard you perform at many places in Minneapolis (such as Jazz at the G, Sophia's, Holiday Inn in Eagan) and love your voice and your passion. You were very gracious in inviting me to sit in and sing a jazz tune at some of your gigs which I really appreciated. I have gotten into songwriting also in the past few years. I did a little gig with Phil Aaron and Tom Lewis last winter and we were talking about you as I wondered what you were up to. When are you going to be singing in Minneapolis again? Where have you been performing lately. This is the first time I have visited your web site. I would love to come and hear you again and also be able to have a nice chat with you. Take care.

Hi Cynthia, I met you at Rossi's in Minneapolis a few years back and you signed my funkytown album. I went back there a few times to see you perform and you always took the time to visit with me and a few friends. I enjoy your singing and would like to know if you are performing in the Minneapolis area? Thanks again and God bless you!! Rick

Hey girl, remember me. I competed with you in the diamond jims talent show about 100 years ago!! I Also know yolanda Bruce pretty well. I hear she knows you too. I still sing here and there. I think about you from time to time. I saw you last downtown about 1981 at the street scene singing Aretha Franklin. I don't know if you remember me but I hope that all is well with you. I am the blonde girl with the guitar when we competed. You sang Natalie Coles inseperable.I would love to talk again sometime. I have a facebook my name is Marie Espinoza. It was Hubbard but I got married 17 years ago to a wonderful non-singing latino and I have three beautiful children now. I feel quite blessed. Love your web site. Glad you are still using that wonerful voice. God Bless, Marie
